My wife, Judith, and I have enjoyed over 40 years together (we were married in 1967). We have two grown children, Melanie and Brian. One of the great sources of blessing to us are our four grandchildren. Judith and I also enjoy our church ministry, spending time with each other and with family, reading and traveling.
I believe with all of my heart that Christ has called me to share the truth of God's word in love to all people, at all times, at all costs. At the age of nine, I received Christ as my personal Savior. I was eighteen when my Lord called me to preach and pastor His church. In 42 years of ministry I have pastored 5 churches and 1 mission. Since January 1, 2006 I have served as Senior Pastor at First Baptist Brookline. I consider myself to be theologically conservative, biblically centered, and spiritually compassionate.
I have led worship for over 30 years, spending approximately the last 11 years at First Baptist Brookline (FBB). My life's calling and service is to lead in worship to our Heavenly Father. I received my ordination in 1983. Not only am I involved in leading worship and directing the adult choir at FBB, I also teach an adult Sunday School class.
I am bi-vocational and have taught computer classes for the last 18 years. My full-time job is Technology Integration Specialist for the Republic R3 School District, Republic, MO. I am also an adjunct professor for Drury University (seated and online classes for the last 12 years) and Missouri State University, both in Springfield, MO. My wife, Julie, also teaches at Drury University. She also runs the multimedia during worship services at FBB. Our son, Jason, is attending Brown University in Rhode Island.
